What's new in VITAS 2009?

Since April the new version 2009 of the surveying software VITAS is finished. Apart from many improvements the following new functions were added:

VITAS runs also on Notebooks

VITAS runs both on PDAs with Windows Mobile operating system and on PCs, notebooks and Tablet PC with Windows XP or Vista. VITAS uses the larger screen of notebooks optimally. The VITAS PC version is best choice, if a large graphic screen is important for you or you want to use your exisiting hardware.

Add distance measurements

You can use distance measurements flexible in combination with points from a total station. This functionality makes it possible to complete a building survey in VITAS without making any notes on paper. With a bluetooth laser distance meter an automatic wireless transfer of values and cursor commands is possible.
You can also make a building survey completely without a total station e.g. for simpler objects.

Automatic caluclation of attributes

For measured objects VITAS computes automatically area, perimeter and height and can export these values as room stamp into your CAD software. The export of point coordinates as text is an easy and efficient way to work with 2D-CAD software in the post process.

Text can be displayed in drawing

Optionally VITAS shows all entered attribute values as text in the display. This gives you an excellent overview over the alphanumeric data during the on-site survey. These texts can be exported also by DXF.

Layer control

With only one instruction all objects of same name can be switched on or off. This gives you a layer-like visibility control.
